Happy Birthday to us..

Can you believe it..We (The Times newspaper) are a year old..its has been a year full of Drama and excitment. From being load-shedded to almost dying during the recent xenophobic attacks, we have managed to keep our heads up...I have however been hear for 2months and can not do justice to how the past year has been so check out our Multi-media producers relating the stories they loved doing..

Peanut Butter WORKED..

I was not really sure if i should do it for Valentines' Day..(buy peanut butter for Freckles that is), but i did it anyway and she loved it. A mutual friend (i wont mention names) was on my case saying i am a cheap skate! I was so tempted to ask her what she got for Valentines' Day??Freckles got something that is sentimental from me not just the usual rose and overatted things that people do on Valentines Day..My workmates say that i showed originality when i bought the peanut butter hey..and i believe that with all my heart..Freckles direct words were: "Thank you for the gift, it spoke volumes to me and it was also funny too".

PS: So i pose the question i should have posed yesterday to our mutual friend (who called me a cheap skate)...WHAT DID YOU GET FOR VALENTINES' DAY?

I care about Valentine's Day..

A friend of mine was not shy to disclose how much he dislikes Valentine's Day since he is spending it alone this year! Argh..dude move on OK..Valentine's Day is not only about you and some random girl you think you are inlove with but rather about love itself..I mean take this morning for example: 1. I said happy Valentine's day to my 2friends that i go to work with hey..and they were a bit negative until a couple of minutes later 2. I got a chocolate at work from a lady at reception at work. 3. And then I called my little sister to say happy valentine's day as i dont want her to grow up thinking she needs to hear that from another man who does not even have her best interest at heart.

So take heart Vumani..call your mother, your sister and your close Friends and say HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY man!! Peace in the middle east!!
