Ntjapedi: A Sesotho idiom that means "two dogs". These guys have embraced their own lingo by putting it into song. I am a proud Sotho man and am reminded of where I belong when I listen to these guys. They are extremely good.
Their recent album is titled Ntjapedi Ha E Hlolwe ke Sebata which is a Sesotho idom meaning: "Two dogs can not be defeated by Lion". Simply put, the name means Two heads are better than one. I will not do them any justice if I carry on like this but Moeketsi Moticoe..does a beautiful PHOTO STORY on them..

Pula yamahlohonolo!! I understand what that means...("Rain of luck" correct me if I'm wrong..I'm still learning! I must say I enjoyed the Slide show on Ntjapedi hey, I was sceptical about them because I thought maybe you are baised because they sing in your mother tongue(Sesotho). I take my Scepticisms back, their sound is rich and soulful. I love their ethnic style, these are true artists man, not just a bunch of guys tryna make a quick buck.. We need such artists in SA. I'm impressed with this group, they are making the kind of music people will listen to many years from now! I do hope to hear more of their music circulating, I must say I haven't heard a lot of their music on radio, maybe its just me though so I won't complain just yet... As for language barriers: Music always goes beyond that.. We all understand the language of "MUSIC" no language ever stops one from enjoying music.
Pula tsa mahlohonolo actually means "pouring rain of blessings" not "rain of luck" because that does not spiritualize the meaning..But you will understand all these terms if you stick with me my love..!! I would love for you to speak more Sotho..after all you do plan to marry me right??If not then you can keep going on and on and on with your Zulu..Lol..

OK, I tried... and YES I will speak more Sesotho for many reasons...[I would love to speak the language of my in-laws...Thanks for putting me on the spot Molefe!!:-)] and I will speak Zulu too, I feel the same way about it as you feel about Sesotho.
